‘The Other’ to screen at Gbeck Future filmfest

Iranian award-winning film ‘The Other’ has made its way to the Gbeck Future Film Festival in Canada.

The short, co-directed by Saman Hosseinpour and Ako Zand-Karimi, will be screened at the short films section of the Canadian event.

The 9-minute Iranian film, narrates the story of a religious and traditional man who suspects his wife after her death and thinks she had a relationship with another man.

His condition gets critical when he suspects that her daughter belongs to the other man, too.

The cast members of the short flick include Potki, Shenia Mozaffarian, and Mohammad Kermanshahi.

Gbeck Future Film Festival is a competition of original films created by filmmakers from around the world, designed to discover and support young filmmakers.

Gbeck Future Film Festival focuses on new media and young filmmakers. Many great young filmmakers have been fostered by this event, and many excellent new films were discovered in the selection process.

The 7th edition of the event is slated for February 2021.
